Ninja

From now on, once a week, I will be going to Ninja class. The teacher, Gary, is nice. He had us work on trampoline skills, rolls, flips, cartwheels, obstacle courses, and a foam pit. The teacher was helpful and he "spotted"us while we were doing a full front flip on the trampoline. I also made a new friend, named Braiden - he is a 10yr old boy (like me) and I look forward to seeing him again in the future.

The classes are an hour long and yesterday there were 6 kids (4 boys and 2 girls). The class starts at 3 and I was sorry when 4pm rolled around and Gary said it was time to leave.

My favorite part was when we went on a loop involving the 20 meter long trampoline and a few other obstacles. The loop went like this:

It started at the beginning of the trampoline. We took large bounces forward and had to jump as high as we could, do a jump called the "straddle jump," and a "tuck"jump. Then we jumped off the trampoline and rolled on a mat at the other end. We were also allowed to do a dive roll where you dive into the roll. Then we walked next to the trampoline going along its length until we came to the next obstacle. It was a mini-trampoline next to a large block. The goal was to do a donkey kick and jump up onto the block. After that, we walked back to near where we had started and there was another mini-trampoline next to a vault. The goal was to jump up onto the vault without touching it with your hands and then landing on your feet. Next to the vault there was a giant block - we would then jump from the block onto the top of a large octagonal prism. From there we would grab onto a bar on the wall and shimmy along it until we reached the start of the long trampoline. We repeated this cycle a few times before we moved onto the next activity.

Overall, it was really fun and I will definitely be back for more.
