The end of May is the end of the "school year." But since we school year-round the changes are pretty minor.

For Tom - he finished up geometry phase 1 and will not do math over the summer (except perhaps some algebra review if time permits). He has a three-week break from his editing coach but will continue to work on his novel. Druidawn is not happening in the summer.

He has started High School Health for a one-half credit class and the plan is to finish that this summer. We have moved from focusing on 3 subjects per to 2 subjects on any given day for the summer - This week the focus was Health and Photoshop class. Next week should be the last Photoshop class so we will do that 2 days, novel writing 3 days, and Health 5 days. I hope to add in the remainder of the Herpetology lessons before the end of the summer.

Emily - Emily's school is very similar for the summer as it was for the school year except we only do 2 subjects per day. She will continue Beast Academy math and Logic of English Essentials most days. One day per week she has Girls Fun class, Vet class, and horse riding. I hope to complete her animal studies before the end of the summer as well.

Quarantine update - Covid restrictions are easing up - masks are now optional in some places but we continue to be cautious. We still have masked playdates with a few friends and Emily continues horse riding lessons. We went to our first small gathering but social distanced outside.

Summer was still under quarantine so we didn't do a lot of activities that other summers may have contained. We went hiking each weekend...
